Ethics Policy
The Eduweb Journal is committed to upholding high standards of ethical behavior and taking all possible measures against any professional misconduct at all stages of the journal's publication process. It adheres to the guidelines and best practices established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), an organization that provides guidance and resources on all aspects of publication ethics, research ethics, and publication misconduct.
The Eduweb Journal follows the Core Practices and also adheres to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing, both published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Misconduct Monitoring
The Editor is committed to maintaining high ethical standards and taking all possible measures against any professional negligence in the publication process. Plagiarism is strictly prohibited. By submitting a manuscript, authors declare that their work is original and unpublished and that it has not been submitted to other journals or copied or plagiarized, in whole or in part, from other publications. To ensure this, authors must complete the originality declaration form.
Manuscripts submitted by authors undergo a preliminary review by the journal's editor, considering the journal's editorial policy and the requirements outlined in the author guidelines. If an article does not meet this initial review, it will be returned to the authors for revision and resubmission.
To address cases of plagiarism, the Eduweb Journal follows the Flowcharts of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
The journal's plagiarism detection process is as follows:
All articles will be checked using plagiarism detection software through Turnitin Similarity Check. [See Anti-Plagiarism Policy]. If a document presents a high similarity percentage, the author of the plagiarized article will be notified, provided with documentary evidence (software report), and asked to respond.
If the Authors Are Found Guilty of Plagiarism:
a) The editor of the journal where the original plagiarized article was published, as well as the authors of that article, will be informed.
b) Eduweb Journal will publish an official retraction of the plagiarized article.
c) Eduweb Journal will not publish any other articles from the authors involved in the plagiarism for a period of five years.
Any ethical violation related to the document will be resolved following the protocols established in the COPE Flowcharts.
Authorship and Contribution
Authorship belongs to individuals who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the article. All individuals who have contributed substantially to the article must be listed as co-authors. Others who contributed to other substantial aspects of the research should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author is responsible for including all co-authors and collaborators in the manuscript and ensuring that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the document for publication.
When authorship of an article is shared, it must be formally declared that:
a) All authors have intellectually contributed to the development of the article.
b) They agree with the content of the manuscript.
c) The work has not been previously published in any other journal or format.
Authors must ensure that the data presented in the article are accurate and have not been manipulated to confirm or support specific hypotheses or assumptions.
At Eduweb Journal, in order to promote research transparency and ensure proper attribution of authorship, we require authors to provide their ORCID ID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID).
Complaints and Appeals
The Editor will respond as soon as possible to any complaints arising during the editorial process. Communication will be handled confidentially via email at editoreseduweb@gmail.com. If the issue cannot be resolved, it will be reviewed by the Editorial Committee.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors submitting a manuscript to Eduweb Journal, as well as the editors and reviewers, must declare in writing any relationships with public or private entities that could result in a potential conflict of interest, which might interfere with the objectivity or integrity of a publication.
Conflicts of interest refer to situations that could be perceived as exerting undue influence on the presentation, review, and publication of a work. These conflicts may be financial, non-financial, professional, employment-related, contractual, or personal. Sex and Gender Considerations in Research (SAGER Guidelines)
Eduweb Journal adheres to the SAGER Guidelines (Sex and Gender Equity in Research), promoting equity in research through the systematic inclusion of sex and gender dimensions in published studies. These guidelines were developed by the European Association of Science Editors (EASE), an internationally recognized organization committed to quality and ethics in scientific publishing.
EASE is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 that collaborates with editors, researchers, and international bodies such as the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Its recommendations are widely adopted by scientific journals indexed in databases like Scopus and Web of Science, ensuring transparency and rigor in academic publishing.
Author Requirements in Eduweb Journal:
- Indicate whether the study considers sex and gender variables in its design, analysis, and presentation of results. If these variables have not been included, provide a clear justification.
- Specify the sex and/or gender of human participants, animals, cells, or biological materials used in the research and describe how these differences were addressed in the methods and analysis.
- Report whether the study results have been disaggregated by sex and gender and provide an appropriate interpretation of any observed differences when applicable.
- Use inclusive and precise language when describing study subjects, avoiding inappropriate generalizations or interpretation biases.
- Follow the reporting guidelines outlined in the SAGER Guidelines, ensuring that published research reflects best practices in considering sex and gender in science.
Authors are encouraged to review the full SAGER Guidelines document, available at: https://ease.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/EASE-SAGER-Checklist-2022.pdf
Adherence to these recommendations will be considered during the evaluation and review process of submitted manuscripts.

c) Relationship with Other Journal Editors. The Editor will foster academic collaboration with editors from other journals.
d) Relationship with the Editorial Team. The Editor will establish clear responsibilities for the editorial committee and maintain continuous communication with its members.
e) Relationship with Readers. When necessary, the Editor will disclose the funding sources of published research and their role in the study. Authors must also explicitly state their funding sources.
Editorial Process and Peer Review
The Editor will protect the anonymity of reviewers and ensure that: Reviewers understand their expectations; The peer review process remains confidential, fair, and impartial.
As a peer-reviewed journal, Eduweb Journal subjects all received manuscripts to a rigorous evaluation process. External national and international academic peers, experts in the field, evaluate articles under a double-blind peer review system.
If a reviewer identifies a conflict of interest, they must disclose it to be excused from the process. The Editor will resolve conflicts of interest promptly.
The Editorial Committee initially screens all articles for compliance with submission guidelines. If an article does not meet these criteria, it will be returned to the author for revisions and resubmission.
Once past the initial review, the article is assigned to reviewers in the relevant field. The manuscript is sent without the author’s identity, and authors do not know the identity of reviewers.
After receiving positive or negative feedback from reviewers, the editorial team decides whether to publish the article. Reviewers’ comments will be shared with the authors, who must address suggestions and revisions within the specified timeframe set by the editorial committee.
Manuscript Promotion and Submission
Eduweb Journal ensures that promotion and manuscript solicitation activities are carried out ethically, transparently, and appropriately, guaranteeing that information provided to authors, reviewers, and readers is accurate and aligned with international academic publishing standards.
- The journal may invite authors to submit manuscripts, but only selectively, based on quality and relevance.
- It does not engage in mass, aggressive, or misleading solicitation for manuscript submissions.
- Information regarding indexing, impact, and publication processes is clear, verifiable, and accurate, avoiding misleading claims.
