Guidelines for Authors
GUIDELINES FOR ARTICLE SUBMISSION
Eduweb, the journal of ICT in Education, will consider for publication works related to education and all branches of ICT applied to the educational field. All submissions must be original and unpublished, and not have been published or under review by other journals, whether technical or popular in nature, as long as the work is the result of an objective and verifiable research process.
The publication requirements are as follows:
- Articles must be original. Documents will be verified using Turnitin software. The similarity index is crucial in determining whether the paper will proceed to peer review.
- Submissions must be sent via email to editoreseduweb@gmail.com, revista.eduweb@uc.edu.ve.
- The document must include the ORCID. Authors must register at https://orcid.org/. The registration must include affiliation details, academic information, and scientific production.
- Keywords must be included according to the UNESCO Thesaurus: https://vocabularies.unesco.org/browser/thesaurus/es/
- Articles should have a maximum length of 6000 words and must adhere to APA format, 6th edition.
- The document should have a maximum of 5 authors.
- The document must contain references to documents included in the Web of Science and Scopus.
- Failure to adhere to the document formatting standards, as per Eduweb's editorial policy, will result in rejection.
- The document review process takes between 4 to 5 weeks.
- Eduweb is indexed in various databases, libraries, and repositories; indexing processes are carried out on platforms external to ours. Therefore, the editorial team does not guarantee indexing in external platforms. The inclusion or non-inclusion, as well as the time for inclusion in databases, repositories, indexers, and virtual libraries where the journal is present, is the responsibility of the organizations conducting this activity. We are not responsible for indexing.

Formatting requirements for manuscripts
The author may submit their manuscript according to the journal template. Download template
The manuscript format must follow the following recommendations:
Document: The manuscript must be submitted in a text document (*.docx) with the following specifications:
Font: Arial. Size 12 Points.
Spacing: Single.
Paper size: Letter with top and bottom margins of 2.5 cm, left 2.5 cm, and right 2.5 cm.
The manuscript should consider the following aspects:
Title: The title of the paper must be written in Spanish and English and should be 15 words long.
Authors: The name(s) of the author(s) must be included, indicating the educational institution they belong to, email, ORCID, city, and country.
Abstract: in Spanish and English, which must not exceed 200 words and should specify the objective of the article, a summary of the methodology used, and relevant results. It must also include 5 keywords or descriptors that best identify the central topic of the research or article. These keywords must be in both Spanish and English.
The body of the article: will consist of the following sections: Introduction, Theoretical references or literature review, Methodology, Results and discussion, conclusions, and bibliographic references.
Figures, photographs, diagrams, and charts must be called "figure" and numbered consecutively. Tables must be called "table" and numbered consecutively.
Equations must be identified with the word "ec." or "eq." followed by a number corresponding to the consecutive numbering of the equations. Mathematical symbols must be clear and legible.
Bibliographic references: must be formatted according to APA (American Psychological Association) version 6.0 guidelines. The accuracy of the citations and bibliographic references will be the sole responsibility of the author(s). To guide the author(s), some examples are provided:
In this section, only the sources that support the paper will be included, not those used to deepen the topic.
References are arranged alphabetically, and the presentation will use a hanging indent (1.25).
Works by the same author are arranged chronologically. If the publication year is the same, use an italic letter to differentiate the work (a, b, etc.) after the year:

Online electronic documents: The name of the consulted database is not included, except in theses and e-books. For the reference consulted, according to the document type, add “retrieved from http://xxx”. Example:

Citations in the text
If the text includes the author's last name, only the date is written in parentheses:
Last name (year)
If the author is not included in the text, write the last name and date in parentheses: (Last name, year).
If the work has more than two authors, it is cited the first time with all the last names and the date: (Last name, Last name and Last name, year).
In subsequent mentions, only the last name of the first author is written, followed by the phrase et al.: Last name et al. (year).
If there are more than six (6) authors, et al. is used from the first mention.
For references to different works in the same citation: (Last name, year; Last name, Last name and Last name, year)
Direct quotations within the text
With a length of up to 40 words: Last name (year) “direct quotation” (p. xx), or “direct quotation” (Last name, year, p. xx) With a length of more than 40 words: Last name (year): (one line) “direct quotation” (p. xx) (one line)
All citations within the text must be included in the Bibliographic References section.
DECLARATION OF ORIGINALITY
Before submitting the manuscript, authors must complete the originality declaration form (Originality Declaration Form), in which they must confirm that the document is original and has not been submitted for evaluation to another journal. This procedure is essential for the manuscript to be considered for evaluation.
The form includes an option for authors to indicate if they wish to be part of the journal's reviewer pool.
SUBMISSION OF MANUSCRIPTS
Authors must submit their manuscript, along with the confirmation of having completed the originality declaration form, to the email address editoreseduweb@gmail.com. It is important to note that the submission of an article does not guarantee its publication.
