The article is aimed at clarifying, through a questionnaire survey, certain practical aspects of the use of the project method in the organization of the educational process in higher education institutions. In the course of the study, the analytical and bibliographic method was applied to study the scientific literature on the use of the project method in the educational process. The authors of the study conducted an online questionnaire survey to clarify certain aspects of using the project method in teaching in HEIs practically. Based on the results of the study, the main most important theoretical aspects of the process of using the project method in HEIs for students of historical specialties have been highlighted. The point of view of students and teachers of HEIs on the key practical aspects of this issue has been investigated.
